Hello and welcome to the WHO Collaboration Center for Nursing Leadership and Governance in Israel! I'm Dr. Shoshy Goldberg, Chief Government Nurse and Chairwoman of the Center

It's an honor to lead this center and work towards our goals of promoting and strengthening senior nursing leadership globally, supporting member states in enhancing nursing and midwifery governance and leadership, and building up the evidence base for effective regulatory policies. Through our consultations, partnerships, research, training, and conferences, we're empowering the nursing workforce and improving health outcomes.

Uniting for Healing Amidst Crisis  

Israel's healthcare system faces an unprecedented humanitarian crisis that has arisen as a direct consequence of the outbreak of war. We are tasked with caring for victims from this ongoing crisis. Our dedicated nurses who stand at the forefront of the response, as well as our Nursing Division within the Ministry of Health, play a vital role in this effort. In these challenging times, your unwavering support is deeply appreciated.

At the heart of this crisis, our emergency command center in the Nursing Division of the Ministry of Health plays a pivotal role, ensuring support and readiness. It serves as the central hub for managing and coordinating all healthcare professionals in Israel having direct contact with all our health services. The command center plays a pivotal role in allocating resources and offering vital support to our healthcare staff on the front lines.
